Mike and I have been talking more and more about eating organic foods but more than that. We'd like to eat more locally grown foods, veggies, fish, shrimp etc...
It's definitely a goal of ours and something that will be good for our bodies, the earth and local "farmers". Sometimes it seems like a daunting task to cut out processed food but I see so many people who look and feel and act so unhealthy, it drives me to want to eat more natural foods.
Earlier this year I got the chance to sit in on a cooking demo by Chef Shawn Pratt of GATHERINGS. His enthusiasm for food was contagious and he is all about living sustainably and cooking for a healthy body and mind. It was a great experience and I think the littlest bit you can do to take care of yourself is empowering and special!
